Refunds

Last changed September 29, 2026

Email and ask. Refunds are given, no questions, any time.

That is the policy. The rest of this page is only the detail of how it works.

How to ask

Write to [email protected] from the address you bought with, or with your receipt attached, and say you would like a refund. You do not have to give a reason and you will not be asked for one.

The money goes back to the card you paid with, through the reseller who took the payment. How long it takes to appear is your bank’s business rather than ours, and it is usually a few days.

If you would rather not email at all, the receipt you were sent has the reseller’s own support link on it, and they will do the same thing without involving us.

Why the answer is always yes

Because arguing about it would cost everybody more than backing the game does, and because a person who has to go to their bank instead of to us has been failed twice. There is no window, no restocking, no partial refund and no store credit.

A refund switches the backer features back off, and so does a chargeback your bank decides in your favor. That is all that happens; nothing else about your game changes, and you can come back and back it again later if you want to.

If you are in the EU or the UK

You have a 14-day right to change your mind on things bought online. Digital items you get access to right away are an exception to that right, and at checkout you will be asked to check a box agreeing that your access starts immediately — which is what makes the backer features work the moment you have paid.

Checking that box does not cost you anything here. Our own policy above is broader than the 14 days the law gives you: ask whenever you like, and the answer is still yes.

Who you are buying from

Backing the game is sold by a reseller acting as the merchant of record — they are the legal seller, they issue the receipt, and they handle sales tax and VAT wherever you are. Their name is on the checkout page and on your receipt. This page is our promise about how we will behave; their terms cover the mechanics of the transaction.
